Don’t expect Hermes to ever follow in suit of any trend going on in fashion. And just because the trend these days is all about a return to tailored elegance, doesn’t mean the premier luxury label is adhering to it. Through the years, this brand, with all its creative directors, stayed true to their luxurious origins of precise construction and utter refinement. Their Fall 2019 collection stood testament to that. This season, current head designer Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski emphasized the timelessness of classic style, which in a way, is the signature aesthetic of Hermes. Silhouettes were streamlined and sleek, even when some outerwear went cocoon-ish a few times, while fabrications remained high-quality and undeniably luxurious. Day-suits and trench coats reigned supreme here, giving a lot of emphasis on women’s everyday lives as compared to the evening and streetwise side that other brands focused on this season. Here, it’s evident that the Hermes way of life is elegance all day every day, and they will never have it any other way!
