Yes, that right—your 2019 just got a bit more exciting with Sephora’s surprising news. This announcement might caught you off guard at first (we know, we don’t want to lose those rewards, too!), but the changes that Sephora implemented are all for the better. And we mean REALLY BETTER.

The Sephora Insider Program started in 2007, making it enter its 11^th year this 2019. Throughout its existence, it has brought smiles on our faces with the perks and rewards that comes with its membership. For those who have been a member for a long time, you’ve witnessed how the rewards program has expanded, until its last 2018 update in August. Implemented at the best time possible, Sephora’s Insider Program updates promises a more promising perks for all its members.

So, what’s new?

While the Beauty Insider is retaining the three tiers of membership: Rouge, VIB, and Insider, there are changes in their individual programs. First, all of them can now pick from the options for their birthday gift, like sets of makeup from Kat Von D Beauty or skincare products from Drunk Elephant.

Being a VIB or Rouge member qualifies you for a third options of a product during your birthday month. Sephora has just launched the new Birthday Boutique online for a more convenient processing of members’ birthday perks. The third gift option is a rotating one, which means that different brands can be part of the options per month. For January 2019, Milk Makeup is offered for this birthday perk.

More reasons to sign-up for VIB or Rouge membership

Aside from the third product option for birthday rewards, a huge advantage for VIB or Rouge members is the flexibility of their rewards options. Now they can personalize their rewards program and choose one among the perks that’s on top of their must-have list.

The points upgrade favors the Rouge and VIB members, too. Rouge members can opt to add 750 points to their existing points, while the VIB members are allowed up to 500. There’s a free-shipping options for both membership programs as well, with an option for free Flash 2-day shipping for Rouge members and free shipping for VIB members when they order a minimum of $35.

The new Sephora Insider Program allows sharing of the makeover options to family members and friends, and it’s only available for those with Rouge and VIB membership. Any Rouge member can share 4 Makeup Deluxe Full-Face Makeover and a VIB member gets two shareable makeovers.
