Fashion is changing its face, and now, it looks more different and unique than ever before! As more and more brands take on the inclusivity route, underground designers serve as pioneers of this movement, showing even the luxury behemoths how it’s truly done. Put Rio Uribe down on that category. His shows for his brand, Gypsy Sport, have always been a celebration of self-expression and courage, but none more so than his recent Fall 2019 show at New York Fashion Week. It’s safe to say that no two models looked alike from that presentation, and just about all members of the gender and racial spectrums were represented on that runway. As for the clothes, he put his focus on lingerie and made it into sexy daywear and evening pieces just to rile things up. Case in point, a cut up tracksuit decorated with delicate lace became a sexy hybrid of sportswear and underwear that looked cool and chic. While a nighttime teddy was the perfect inner piece for a school girl-esque skirt-suit. These new ideas shaped what might be the biggest trends for next season. Who else is excited about them?
