Taking over as fashion’s greatest showman, from the likes of John Galliano and Alexander McQueen, is Alessandro Michele. From the show-stopping venues to the eerie music he uses, Michele creates full-blown atmospheres to really capture the spirit of his collections. Spring 2019 was no different, as Michele transported his fans and clients to the run-down 1970s Le Palace nightclub in Paris. Here, he presented all the best from the decade’s most frivolous fashions: sparkles, sequins, feathers, and more. The show was a party full of bright-colored, ecstasy-inducing looks that will look as fabulous in 2019 as they did in 1979. Graphic stripes, draped shimmering silks, and fruit and floral prints were all there, styled in a futuristic disco-style that everyone was salivating over. And for the pièce de rĂ©sistance, a moving musical performance from 70s French icon Jane Birkin. It was one of the best moments out of the whole Spring 2019 fashion month!
