Givenchy Beauty Le Rouge Semi-Matte Lipstick Review

So… the Givenchy Beauty Le Rouge Lipstick. It’s definitely an interesting, eye-catching lipstick, to say the least. Coming in a heavy, leather-coated tube, the product absolutely screams luxury, and it’s certainly very, very nice to look at, embodying the aesthetic of the Givenchy brand. These traditional bullet-type lipsticks look very pleasing once swiped, giving the lips a light coat of color. And also, despite being a semi-matte, it does sit quite comfortably on the lips. The problem here is that as a product, it just doesn’t quite do enough to justify the price tag it carries. For $38.00, the coverage is barely-there, in some cases looking more like a tinted lip balm than actually coating like a lipstick should. The wear time is also decidedly insufficient, disappearing at the slightest hint of anything consumable. To us, this product is a disappointment because it could’ve been absolutely perfect with a better formula in the gorgeous packaging. But unfortunately, we feel inclined to warn you that this product just may not cut it if you’re looking for rich color and lasting wear time.
