Tailoring is become a big trend nowadays as fashion veers slightly away from streetwear. And who else but Giorgio Armani could benefit from such a trend? The Godfather of tailoring himself, Mr. Armani proved that he still knows how to cut a great suit. His Pre-Fall 2019 Collection is all about the soft and feminine tailoring he made popular in the 1980s, only this time, there’s more shimmer and shine. The most noteworthy looks are the first few ensembles that had an indelible sheen to them. Whether it’s the classic pantsuit or the more youthful shorts-suit, these are outfits made for the modern millennial, who people might see wearing the same thing at an elegant affair or a party in a club as they did at work. For a stark and fascinating contrast, Armani also presented body-hugging slip dresses and slouchy day pieces. These don’t exactly look business-ready, but they had nonchalant ease that most would appreciate and be attracted to. With such a delectable offering, this just confirms that Giorgio Armani remains to be at the top of the fashion game.
