There’s a reason why French style is so magnetic. It has a quirky kick to it that’s not only stylish but also incredibly individualistic. For Fall 2019, designer Johanna Senyk chose to tap into it for her latest line. In fact, her entire Françoise brand is all about adding (or magnifying) the quirkiness on classic chicness, and this season, she took it on with full force. Think wallpaper florals in billowy silhouettes, strong outerwear studded in a Western-like fashion, and modest frills decorating tailored ensembles. Though her elements are slightly subtle, they add a whole lot more depth and character to the concept of chicness. A frilly hem here, a flowing silhouette there, and shimmering leather coat are all that you need, according to Senyk, to induce that quirky charm.
