We get that it’s difficult to tow the lines between simplicity and boring, but it seems like Arthur Arbesser didn’t even try this season. His Fall 2019 collection for Fay was so unremarkable, we have nothing else to say. Well, only that it’s a shame that Arbesser, who’s one of the more creative designers today, didn’t do much in offering an exciting array of easy separates for Fay’s clientele. Sure, some coats were alright and some outfits worked, but in the whole grand scheme of things, many of the stuff here are basically irrelevant. What is it about the pieces laid out here, many of which other designer brands have their own spins on, would make a customer buy them instead of cheaper ones in a department stores and such? Where was the creativity? Where were the ideas? Evidently, they weren’t that present this season.
