Who says femininity can’t get a bit of rock’n’roll at times? It worked extremely well at Elie Saab’s Spring 2019 runway show in Paris, and it’s possible they’ll look similarly amazing on the streets of the ‘City of Lights’ as well. The famous red carpet designer began his show with an array of cocktail looks, both in dress and pantsuit forms, with as much lace and floral elements as any woman can handle. Then came the graphic stripes, in bold colors both vertical and angular, and the leopard print that cam ravaging after sealed the deal on what sort of woman Mr. Saab will be dressing for spring. Within the different looks in the collection, whether it be the strong-shouldered sparkling minis or the laced-up nighties paired with leather outerwear, this rock chick never let go of her femininity. She’s unapologetic in embracing all the classic feminine tropes and has no problem incorporating them into her glamorous rock’n’roll style wardrobe. And of all the labels to get such pieces, this haute couture label was certainly a pleasant surprise!
