Coach 1941’s customer can be classified as a bohemian. While mature women of respectable means buy the label’s bags, the clothes are designed specifically for their daughters who go on music festivals and wild raves in remote deserts. For spring 2019, this desert party looked a bit more prairie than usual. Dresses, from midi to floor-length, were Victorian-esque in style and cut but styled with such energetic youth when paired with leather jackets and combat boots. The dresses’ prints, made out of Disney’s beloved classic characters Bambi and Pinocchio, were nods to the collection’s very young consumer base. They also alluded to the brand’s current collaboration with the entertainment giant. Even the men, with their patchwork pieces and willowy oversized separates, seemed to be part of the same kid cult. There’s no assurance that this collection will grab the youth’s attention, but it was a valiant effort nonetheless.
