We’ve seen high fashion brands tackle athleisure wear in the recent years, and they have been mostly successful, with hypebeasts itching to grab their hands on them as soon as they can. The French luxury brand Chloé is the latest to dip its toes in the competition, releasing their Chloé Sonnie Sneakers in 2018. Its creative director, Natacha Ramsey-Levi, saw to the inclusion of the shoes in the brand’s Pre-Fall 2018 collection. The sneakers, available in both high tops and low tops, appear to be in league with Chloe’s bohemian and feminine apparel.

The Chloé Sonnie sneakers are available in four versions, which include colorways named “Dark Purple”, “Jungle Green”, “Sooty Khaky” and Light Eucalyptus. All share sloped and futuristic silhouettes, regardless of whether they are high or low tops. They are made in a myriad of materials such as mesh, neoprene, nylon, suede calfskin, and leather. The chunky shoes also have Chloe branding that are kept from being obtrusive.

Pros

You can expect nothing less in the quality of the Chloe Sonnie sneakers. After all, these babies are made in Italy, and that tag alone says a lot that you can’t attribute to others. The leather lining is luxurious, and the rubber soles for the shoes provide sufficient comfort and bounce to keep your feet happy the whole time you have them on. The upper made in a combination of cotton, nylon, polyester, leather and elastane do the same that can make these your favorite shoes, and the round toes prove helpful in not pinching your feet. In terms of appearance, the sneakers are sporty and futuristic, which are pretty much in fashion right now. Cons

The Chloe Sonnie sneakers are not your ordinary kicks, and these are consequently priced the same way. The shoes fit true to size, but are lacking pairs in half sizes. It is advisable to take the next whole size if this is the case for your feet.
