Oh, how we wish we can ever be half as glamorous as the models at a Brandon Maxwell runway. But don’t take it too hard—the label is an expert when glamour is concerned. Remember how Michele Obama looked stunning during an Official State Dinner in that Brandon Maxwell white gown? Or that time Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, glowed beautifully in the label’s yellow shift?
These are just two examples of how the brand has an unbelievable touch of a regal-effect that transforms anyone who wears their pieces. We can’t count the ways we admired the brand, and we can’t count how many times we wanted to carry those fab looks in real life. Thank goodness M.A.C. takes us one step closer into that dream by taking the highly-praised fashion brand into the world of beauty.
Maxwell Glamour into the Beauty World
Ooh, la, la… such exciting times!
We welcome the Maxwell glamour we’ve only seen in dresses and gowns before into the makeup we adore. The brand collaborated with MAC and launched a five-piece collection that debuted in the Maxwell Spring 2019 runway.
To be honest, it isn’t such a shock for us that this would come into play one day. With Maxwell’s creativity, plus his admitted love for beauty ever since his childhood makes this collaboration feel like it was written in the stars, and we can’t be happier that it’s finally here!
Brandon Maxwell x MAC at the Spring 2019 Runway
The Brandon Maxwell’s Spring 2019 runway show was nothing short of spectacular—we’ve seen beautiful clothes in a Texas tailgate-themed runway, which was totally epic. But what caught and sustained the attention of the audience were the beautiful pink hues splashed all over the faces of the runway models, including top notch names like Lily Aldridge, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, and Joan Smalls.
They all had that sweet glow, thanks to the gorgeous products from the first-ever collection of the fashion brand in collaboration with M.A.C..
The Texan Touch
Believe us, not only make-up lovers have been all over this collection—Texans were over the moon, too! Why? Because Maxwell, who had his roots from Texas, decided to pay tribute to where he came from as he conceptualized the theme of this collection.
First, the added soul into the rather glamorous collection has been requested by Maxwell himself. Another is the packaging of the makeup, which showed Maxwell’s personal tattoo of Texas complete with that heart drawn over Longview, his hometown.
Such Texan inspiration has been added to the runway too, especially with the Texas-sized hair achieved thru the expertise of James Pecis, the official hairstylist of the event.
