Hugo Boss has a special relationship with tailoring. The craft is the brand’s foundation and continues to be one of its best selling points to this day. They’re known for their signature tailoring, which is why the label’s Spring 2019 collection, their first post-Jason Wu, was a huge surprise. Instead of the strict and rigid business looks that Wu and other designers before trotted out for the label, the runway was filled with soft and relaxed athleisure. In an electrifying palette of stark white, bright orange, sunshine yellow, and pastel pinks, softly-tailored outerwear billowed and shimmering silk dresses wafted under the iconic Boss name. It was luxurious leisure at its finest, as well as a new direction that Hugo Boss can now venture into with ease.
