Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Brow Gel is a disappointing product—but not because it’s the worst brow product to ever his the makeup market. Pretty far from it! It’s more disappointing because despite being in a position to do so much, it only does so, so little.
There are some pretty great qualities about this product. First of all, it’s packaged to be portable, meaning you’re free to use it on the go. It also packs a good shade range so more people can find the right color for them. In terms of the formula, true to its word as a “gel,” it does hold unruly brow hairs in place quite well.
But then, its slip-ups are pretty egregious. Despite being designed with portability in mind, this product does require a separate applicator (most commonly a thin, angled brow brush) in order to get the best use out of the product. Despite being available in so many shades, the pigmentation is really frustrating. Even for darker colors, it barely really makes a mark. That, and the color (if you’re able to pick up any) does tend to wear out quite quickly. And on top of all that, you’re paying $26.00 for such a minuscule amount of product?
Like we said, it could’ve had everything it needed to be the kind of product that’s easy to reach for on a vanity, but it ultimately squanders its advantages.
SUITABLE FOR: All skin types.
