The Extra Lip Tint from Bobbi Brown has gained a sort of cult following in the time since its release. K-Pop fans will remember this product as something that quickly sold out around the world once fans of the K-Pop group BTS found out that one of its members, Jungkook, used this particular product. But others flocked to this product because of its great formula. So is this product actually able to prove its worth?
The Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint is a color-adjusting lip balm that claims to “bring out the best in lips.” One of the things we ended up primarily loving about it is the color. Each shade of this product, once put on, has a slight tint to it that intensifies just a little bit to the lips to create the best possible version of that color on your lips. We also love how lightweight it feels on your lips. This being a lip balm, of course, we weren’t expecting it to be particularly weighty, but for all the hydration it’s able to give, it makes your lips feel like there’s nothing on them. We also appreciate the slight plumping effect of the product, which is achieved not through the use of irritants that make your lips tingle, but through oils that seep through the skin, and make your lips look nice and healthy.
The only thing, really, that we can fault this product for (besides its pretty absurd price, for a lip balm) is that it wears out a little too quickly for our taste, especially when you’re eating or drinking different things.
But, really, we absolutely fell in love with this product, and we fell hard. It’s just a delight to use, maybe even more than other tinted lip balms out there, and it just feels absolutely great.
