“This collection is my Blumarine: There’s everything I’ve always liked,” claimed Anna Molinari. In her fresh Fall 2019 show, she took her brand back to its barest basics: hyper-femininity and modern romanticism. Gone were the awkward attempts on streetwear and were traded in for the flouncy frills and chic leopard prints that once defined the Blumarine look. There was confidence here, marked not only by the simplicity and cleanliness but by the exploration of classic cuts and silhouettes as well. There’s softness here that’s all too alluring, even when paired with shimmering leather boots. Finally, there’s also a strength, be it with the animal-printed frocks, the strongly shaped outerwear, or even the pink and red argyle pieces that were perfectly casual and suitable for every day. Suddenly. the Blumarine woman is no longer dressing for Instagram, but rather for herself in her most comfortable and most romantic attires. This is the kind of lifestyle the brand has always stood for, and how refreshing it is to see them embrace it once more!
