Description
Coming out of the denim market and into contemporary fashion is no small feat, but BLDWN looks to achieve such for Fall 2019. This season, they provide women a powerful yet feminine wardrobe that's as wearable s denim but still undeniably luxurious!

For a company that used to be a denim brand, BLDWN sure knows how to turn it up in the luxury scale! For Fall 2019, their new collection evokes a refinement that’s rarely seen among denim brands and is somewhat of a foreshadowing of things to come. Spring 2019 already had a lot of sophistication to it, but Fall 2019 increased it tenfold. Womenswear design director Shayla Guy emphasized that this season, it’s all about showcasing strength with subtle femininity. She stressed that her offering isn’t necessarily a hybrid of masculine and feminine tropes, but rather an elegant proposition of modern womenswear. And this is highly evident, what with the pops of color—particularly that of the bright fiery orange denim and cashmere ensemble—and the more focused emphasis on dresses and skirts. Not to mention the flared silhouettes of many of the denim trousers incorporated in this line. Will BLDWN resonate with the more mature audience they’re going for? They have a good shot with this collection!
