The thing about the beauty industry is that it always fills our hearts with new and awesome products, but it drains our pockets with every dollar it can get. Just recently, releases from the most relevant high-end products of today, including Fenty Beauty and Kylie Cosmetics, had all of us shouting in the true meme fashion, “Shut up and take my money!”
But when a brand like Anastasia Beverly Hills suddenly launches a new pallete, where can we get the power to resist that? Just from the teases that the brand released a few weeks after the actual launch, we know your minds are already planning the strategy on how you can get a palette from the first batch of release.
The Norvina
Anastasia Beverly Hills’ newest sultry eye shadow palette was named Norvina, a name the brand got from its President, Claudia Norvina Soare, who is also the daughter of the ABH founder, Anastasia Soare. So it isn’t just another launch from the brand, for Claudia, it was a very personal project as her name is boldly printed on each of the palette.
ABH started building up the fans’ excitement by showing a video with a model, then a post about a gold rose, and finally a video that reveals the glittery palette that set off a domino of excitement from ABH fans to makeup junkies to beauty gurus to the entire beauty community.
A Zoom In On the Palette
The palette consists of a total of 14 metallic and matte shades devoid of any orange, red, or brown tones, making it a true neutral palette. The inspiration behind the palette comes from creating a look that will be perfect as a holiday getup, especially as this palette has everything to pack on beautiful layers of both dark mattes and glitters for that sexy smoky & metallic look.
At first glance, it’s easy to fall in love with the bold colors with cool tones, which Claudia herself explained is the reason why it is a highly-balanced palette. One of her favorites out of all the 14 shades is the “Soul”, which is a breath of fresh air, considering that most matte purple shades for the eyes are often really deep purple or really light; sometimes with a tinge of pink and lavender. But the “Soul” is a dark periwinkle that isn’t seen all the time in makeup palettes, making it so unique.
Anastasia Beverly Hills released the Norvina Palette last September 25. It is now available for purchase at their website for $42.00 USD.
