Aoud Night by Montale Review
Montale’s Aoud Night is a delight for oud lovers, as well as for those who need a fresh take in the often used accord. We find similarities in another Montale scent, Dark Aoud, in terms of the note’s intensity, but other ingredients such as the rose seem to make a more refined rather than wild trail of oud in the fragrance. To us, this doesn’t come by easily as anyone’s go-to scent, what with its very natural smell that can remind one of what the body excretes. Apply at your own risk; but if you end up loving it, then we wholly understand why.

Feels very natural, animalic and earthy even
Uses rose and oud but manages not to turn out to be generic
Excellent sillage and performance
We find the opening to be made up of what felt like conflicting notes
Takes a more discerning nose to appreciate
Save Big At:

Aoud Night was released by Montale in 2014 together with another scent, Rose Night, and used two similar-looking gold and black bottles for the packaging. Created by Pierre Montale, Aoud Night features the prominent Middle Eastern note as well as Moroccan rose, Indonesian patchouli, sandalwood, guaiac wood and white musk. The scent is available as eau de parfum in 100 ml.
