Whilst the American Crew Pomade does provide a light hold, it really only lasted us about 5-10 minutes until our hair started unraveling. It did give our hair a high shine though which surprised us considering this product is water-based. It also didn’t have any clumping and was easily washed out without any residue. But for the lack of any hold at such a high price tag, we really feel like this product is not worth it. There also seems to be a lot of knockoffs amongst retailers such as Ulta and Amazon, so be sure that if you do end up buying this product, you receive a container that has translucent product. If it’s cloudy or yellow, return it right away as it’s either expired or a copy.
