Almost a quarter of the images in Alejandra Alonso Rojas’ Fall 2019 lookbook featured the model lounging about on a chair. This chic sense of ease was central to the designer’s overarching themes this season, which ranged from the Wild Wild West to the 1930s. Yet even with such a variety of ideas, everything about this collection looked cohesive, easy, and refined. Women will love the cozy knits beautifully saturated by in-house dyeing which, when paired with a similarly-hued patent leather skirt, becomes a much more fashionable piece than realized. Although the horse prints seemed a little juvenile, the way they were cut, constructed and contrasted with different hues made it look desirable and somewhat edgy. As for the evening-wear, an array of bias-cut dresses worthy of Hollywood and painted in the richer shades of emerald and orange are the perfect frocks for an entirely elegant evening affair. From day to night, the Alejandra Alonso Rojas client will have something to wear to enchant, transfix, and ultimately seduce anyone who comes her way. And that is just what the designer had in mind for her for fall!
