Alchemist Fall 2019 Ready-To-Wear Collection – Review
Description
Say what you want about this collection, there's no denying that Roma Cohen was fearless in taking on these overused American styles, especially within the country's heated political landscape. But as he so stylishly proves with this line, there's nothing like the American dream!

Roma Cohen is going full-on Americana for Alchemist’s Fall 2019 Collection. Taking inspiration from Native American tribes, the Star-Spangled Banner, and the King of Rock, Elvis Presley himself, Cohen took on well-used and celebrated tropes in his pursuit of carving out his brand’s fashion identity. His play on denim was clear this season, decorating it with fringes for that archetypal Western effect, tailoring a fit-to-flare silhouette that Elvis Presley popularized during his heyday, and a poncho dress (for men no less!) that exhibited Native American tribal imagery. He even presented a t-shirt with Elvis’s face printed on it, that he paired with stark white denim separates. In today’s world of “woke” hypersensitivity, some of these looks might garner negative reactions, but with that fearless approach, Cohen further evoked his courageous American spirit into the collection.
