Description
The Air Jordan 4 “Pure Money” is worthy of a slot in your summer-spring rotation. The all-white leather is not left boring through the platinum decorations, and the materials are topnotch, similar to other Jordans available. These shoes take more for style than comfort, though. And for white shoes, the price may not be too enticing unless for dedicated fans of the Jordan Brand.

Need a crisp and pristine pair to flaunt in the spring and the summer? You’re in luck as the Jordan Brand has once again made the Air Jordan 4 Retro “Pure Money” available to sneakerheads and hypebeasts around the world. Since it first hit retailers a decade ago, the silhouette has been among the most popular Air Jordan 4 colorways around. The retro Pure Money remains faithful to the originals, making it as sought after as the latter.

For the most part, the retro Pure Money retains the appearance of the OGs. The pair even has the PURE$ stitching on the inside of the tongue, which can cause a little confusion in distinguishing the new from the old ones. The all-white leather has a bolder appearance through the silver accents; these are present on the eyelets, the Jumpman brand, as well as the lace tips.

Pros

The beauty of having white sneakers is that they can blend with pretty much everything. The same is the case for the Air Jordan 4 “Pure Money”, although the silhouette and the accents are a little more than what you see with other popular white shoes. Even with the platinum hardware, the sneakers are still looking sweet and clean, and make for good summer or spring shoes. The quality is consistent for these kicks, which is made in top quality leather; the toe is particularly something worth checking out. Besides the leather, it is also more sleek-looking after being slimmed compared to other reissued models. Worried about having sweaty feet by the end of the day? The Pure Money keeps that from happening, or at least from being too bothersome, through the mesh panels on the side. The sockliner is silver, which just means that it wouldn’t require cleaning as soon as a white sockliner would.

Cons

Most people would probably not pay almost 200 dollars for an all-white sneakers, save for fans of the Air Jordan 4 silhouette. While these are stylish, they are not the best when it comes to comfort; the Ortholite insole and the polyurethane leave wanting in that aspect. Parts that easily become yellow which is a problem for other white sneakers can also be witnessed here, particularly with the over-molded mesh.
