Frida Kahlo was an interesting artist. Through her distinct art and way of life, despite her physical ailments, she succeeded in seducing not only the men in her life, but the world with her art. This is what inspired Simon Holloway to create Agnona Pre-Fall 2019 Collection. It’s a decidedly masculine collection, but through his use of luxurious fabrications and soft tailoring, these are pieces in which women can effortlessly seduce. In the same vein of Kahlo’s arguably masculine appearance, these clothes do not hide the wearer’s femininity, but in fact help embrace it to its full and most alluring potential. The color palate of pale pink and salmon to the more somber shades of burgundy and aubergine further highlights the sexual magnetism that’s implied in this line. The ability to attract despite layers upon layers of clothing is a feat that women have mastered for years. And for Agnona, that’s the best part to clothe.
