Vibrancy is not a word often used in menswear, but there really isn’t any other word more suitable to describe Acne Studios’ spring 2019 menswear collection. From the eye-popping hues to the animated stripes, Jonny Johansson put forth a vibrant offering that challenges men to dress up a lot more different than they’re used to. In this respect, Johansson also defied conventionality by applying different techniques to various pieces. “It’s an experiment with the definition of garments. We were looking at the archetypal constructions of one garment and applying them to another,” he told Vogue magazine. While the experiment was a wild one at that, things are looking good for the brand right now.
