Last year we saw hypebeasts and –baes alike going gaga over a Supreme and COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT team up. This year came with another good news from both brands as the two have dropped a collection that’s bound to be copped in an instant and rake more dollars when resold through the Web.
We’re betting that among this year’s collection, the most sought after would be the Schott perfecto leather jacket that appears to have been touched with some local New Yorker goodness through the graffiti print. The white text that says “JUSTICE FOR ALL” is done by the infamous Earsnot, among the most prominent artists in the city and is founder of the IRAK crew. Other pieces from the collection include a cotton canvas chore coat, a wool-blend overcoat, cotton shirts, a cotton sweater, pants and sweatshirts, all added with a good measure of punk.
A few months back, there have been rumors of a Nike Air Force 1 Low. It’s not available for purchase by the most avid of sneakerheads around as of yet, but its existence has been confirmed by the recent release.
Like the SS17 collection, the FW18 collab has a defining theme: the sliced graphic. This is seen in the key pieces such as the split box logo shirt and hoodie, and the overcoat. The upcoming AF1 Low will also have the Swoosh spliced in the middle.
The Supreme x COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT FW18 collection has been released on September 13 in both the physical stores and online shop of Supreme, although it came a little late for Japan. The merchandise were also available over at Dover Street Markets in New York, London, Beijing, Ginza and Singapore. If you find that you’ve missed out on the collection, you still have that one last chance to grab a Supreme x COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT piece on November. For sneakerheads, the Air Force 1 will be launched by then.
