They released it for public purchase on October 20, 2016, and it was one of the last fashion debuts during the Spring 2017 fashion month. Thanks to their social media pages, particularly their Instagram account, the Manhattan-based brand was able to gain a lot of traction even before they officially released the shoes. They sell at $285 a pair and every cent paid is definitely worth it.

Pros

The shoes’ over construction makes the pair a worthy investment. By geometrically cutting both black and white Nappa leather, the brains behind the brand were able to puzzle together a unique shoe with such an impactful design. Even with the most overused colorway in fashion. They New York succeeded in putting together something completely new and exciting. Not to mention that with the round-toe fit and padded ankles, the shoe is also extremely comfortable to wear.

Cons

The shoe is made out of Nappa leather, which is one of the softest and most delicate types of leather known to man. It’s through such softness that They New York was able to perfectly cut the material to form the geometric design of Triangle Lows. The material, however, is also the shoes’ weakest point as it makes the product too precious to wear for every day. Since the shoe is marketed for streetwear, this might make for a confusing business problem. Additionally, Nappa leather is also difficult to clean, and with the stark white and black color scheme, it’s more vulnerable to evident dirt.
