The brand was a creation of Brandon Maxwell who was born in Longview Texas where he was surrounded by “immaculately dressed women”. Having spent most of his time in a Longview boutique where his grandmother used to work, inspiration was everywhere.
Brandon soaked in the different styles and cuts, ending up with him putting together outfits and photographing his friends. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Photo Communications from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. And by 23, he was ready to work in New York.
Mixing fashion with photography
Loving both worlds, Brandon started out as a stylist when he began to assist Deborah Afshani in 2009 and Nicola Formichetti in 2010. It was his meeting with Lady Gaga that was significant because since 2012, he has been the fashion director of a world-wide famous musician known for her creative looks and imaginative productions.
Aside for styling, Brandon has also been active in magazines. With numerous editorials and campaigns in the bag from online to print, from Harper’s Bazaar and Teen Vogue to Barneys New York and Uniqlo.
